| Layonna Vegetarian | Delicious. The Seaweed & Pinenut Rice is probably the tastiest rice dish I have ever had - be sure to try it. Tofu and Brown Sauce is so good, too, despite the unassuming name. Huge portions, nice ambiance, friendly service, reasonable prices. Everything I have ever had there has been so good. The "fish" and the Three-Ingredient Noodles are especially tasty. | 2007-05-08 |
| Vegetarian House | They catered our wedding and did a splendid job. Everything looked great, tasted great, and the helpful and friendly staff of Vegetarian House were able to point us to dishes that would hold up well after being outside for a while -- (We had our wedding in a park, with no on-site kitchen.) The fake shrimp is so tasty & cute, the cake was great. We were thoroughly pleased. Everything was perfect! | 2007-05-08 |
| Golden Buddha | Tasty food, and I have found the service friendly and attentive. We go a lot since it's in our neighborhood - the pho is very good, as are the "drumsticks", the "fish" (with a thin seaweed "skin") and the Thai style salad. Large portions & good prices, with an even more inexpensive lunch menu. | 2007-04-08 |
| Cafe Gratitude | My husband dreaded the end of the meal, as he saw the server was going to ask him what he was grateful for... He doesn't like chatting with strangers, and the new-age banter seemed invasive to him. I've been back several times, though. Assumed the "shakes" wouldn't have ice, but mine arrived full of ice (I don't like ice-cold drinks.) A bit expensive but tasty, rather small portions. | 2007-04-08 |
| Millennium | Mushroom season (winter rains) is an amazing time to go to Millenium! Mmmm. In general, everything I have ever had there has been sublimely delicious. Usually my choice for my birthday dinners or other special occasions. I took my veg mother (from Alabama) there for Mother's Day brunch and she was truly overjoyed. Can't find food like that in Alabama... or anywhere! Great wine pairings, too. | 2007-04-08 |
| New Ganges | Bland, spice-mixing "off". All the dishes ordered were dull. Palak paneer not good at all. Waiter absurdly pushy! Pakistani cook attempting Indian Hindu food & missing it. No decor - strangely drab. | 2004-09-10 |
| Ya Mo Thai Kitchen | Worst restaurant experience ever. Very politely said to waiter/cook as he was starting to cook our order "Please, we do like it very spicy!" He screamed "DON'T ORDER ME AROUND!"&more. Psycho! We left | 2004-07-19 |
| Axum Cafe | Delicious Ethiopian vegetarian plate for 2 is so reasonably priced -- 6 different veg dishes on a big shared dish, eaten w/fingers! I have loved this place for years & continue to go back frequently. | 2004-07-19 |
