| Udupi Palace | Excellent South Indian food. Large selections. Reasonable prices. Pleasing decor. Friendly, accommodating service. They're happy to turn down the music if asked, though usually it's low. 10% discount for members of the San Francisco Vegetarian Society. | 2010-02-04 | | Daily Health | After enjoying lunch here with a friend, I returned the following week for dinner with my wife. The food is vegan, creative, and delicious, with the best of Gratitude, Alive, and Ananda Fuara, at low cost. The spinach soup is marvelous--so thick you can practically eat it with a fork! The salads are varied and plentiful. Wonderful desserts. Only a few tables, but comfortable setting. | 2007-07-31 | | Bok Choy Garden | Over the years, I've eaten sporadically at Bok Choy. The food has been mediocre. Now the ownership has changed. What an improvement! My wife and I had five dishes--all were delicious! Ken Kuet, the manager, had everything made to our health specifications: no sugar, no salt, little oil, no tofu. They serve brown rice. Their hours have changed and are no longer closed mid-day.
 | 2007-03-07 | | Lu's Kitchen | Excellent, tasty, healthy, vegetarian and vegan food. Good service, reasonable prices. Emphasis on Greek salads and Mexican entrees. Chef very willing to improvise and cater to special preferences. Outdoor seating only, plus take-out. Brown rice, no alcohol. | 2006-10-04 | | Kaleva | Excellent, exotic, delicious, inexpensive food. Most dishes can be prepared vegan and modified depending on your taste. Varied menu. Friendly service. Unobtrusive music. Bring your own brown rice. | 2005-01-02 | | Urban Forage - Mission | The food is delicious, healthy, and includes whole grains. The staff has been warm and patient. The menu is large. They play the classical music CDs I bring. What's not to like? | 2004-08-27 | |
