| Mimosa Cafe | The vegan server is the sweetest person ever and will make sure you order the best vegan things. I *love* the tofu enchiladas and the veggie stir fry. Great portions, great prices, simple place but clean and neat and yummy. Fab guacamole. | 2008-04-20 | | Flacos | TO DIE FOR vegan mex food. organic. home-made and you can tell...great flavors. I could live on just the rice and beans but if you put a plate of Flaco's "chicken" taquitos in front of me they would be gone in 10 minutes. Food is bright, clean, scrumptious. Friendly quick service. Well worth the money and we're lucky to have this option in the Bay Area! don't miss the avocado salsa. | 2008-01-27 | | All about Herbs @ Paris Cafe | AMAZING food. Tiny place. Service not the most professional, but super warm and friendly. The prices are great for the what you get--generous portions of gourgeous, perfectly cooked and seasoned, made to order vegan food. I couldn't believe how good it was. Crispy oyster mushrooms--perfect. Rainbow curry--fresh, light, keffir lime flavor. Teriyaki tofu--melt in your mouth. | 2007-12-31 | | Weird Fish | they do serve dead animals, so I can't give a 5, but their vegan options are DELISH! vegan apps, main dishes, and desserts (not Black China cakes, either!). Vegan "fish and chips." Tofu tacos. Deep fried pickles (yes). They know what vegan is, vegan is marked on the menu, the food is fresh/fun/unique/scrumptious. Small, no reservations, be prepared to wait but worth it. Really. | 2007-12-31 | | Nature's Best Foods | VERY well stocked--it's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside--and very clean. Some of everything. Staff very nice. | 2007-10-05 | | Kearny Street Pies | GREAT vegan pasties: curried yam, eggplant-olive, black bean-vegetable (plus more). Tender crusts, fresh hot fillings. Good prices. Soups are always vegan and they were delish. No vegan desserts available, but still an excellent deal in the financial district! Fast service, very clean, friendly veg owner. | 2006-12-20 | | Pizza Plaza | 2 of us got a large vegan Greek Goddess. Cooked perfectly, seasoned well, generous portions. Good prices for what you get. A tad on the slow side but worth it. Ginger tea made with fresh ginger. Kale cooked perfectly. | 2006-03-07 | | Shangri-La | Great food and portions at very low prices. Huge potstickers. Fast service. Very tasty food and good, healthy, brown rice. Pie pa tofu is unusual, like big croquettes, crispy out/soft in--yummy. | 2006-03-07 | | Alfresco | Great deal! Sidewalk cart sort of place, so won't work for a long romantic meal, but DELISH food, organic, clean, inexpensive. Food very fresh and filling. Highly recomend. | 2006-02-19 | | Saturn Cafe | Eccentric, punk decor, not the best service--but who cares! YUMMY food, filling, comfort food, fun people watching, great prices.
