| Gracias Madre | We enjoyed lunch here and were very pleased. The menu does not note what is spicey (the refried beans are, the black beans aren't) so you have to ask. The hot chocolate was divine, as was the orchata. The chiles rellenos (spicey) were very good. The tortillas are great. The rice was crunchy -- tasted as if it had spent too much time in the oven. | Encuentro Café and Wine Bar | Tried two different salads. Fresh and delicious and good sized. They don't skimp on the pear, which I appreciate. The tempeh sandwich was very good. We split it between four of us, but would have been better off if we each had our own. Also had the gigante beans with Field Roast sausage. Yum. Vegan cheese plate good, too. | Green Papaya | We just went today (12/23/09) for lunch, and though they've just open the food and service were terrific! We started with the fresh rolls, and they were filled with crunch goodness. We also had a pad thai and a red curry -- both delicious. We asked for the curry extra spicy and it was. They brought us hot tea (no charge). Let's help keep this place in business!  | 2009-12-23 |
| Sogo Tofu | We often pick stuff up here on trips down to see my mom. The portions are, indeed, very large. They make buns stuffed with tofu and mushrooms that are very good. Although this place is geared toward native speakers of Chinese, they are always very willing to explain to us the ingredients in the dishes. Nice people. | 2009-12-23 |

| Tony Tutto Pizza | This was tasty pizza with a crunchy thin crust. The vegan pizza is simply cheeseless. There are no mock meats or soy cheeses. The owners are very sweet and accommodating. It's nice to know that no pepperoni fat accidentally dripped on my pizza! | 2009-01-11 |
| Hannah's Edible Art | Hannah made me a delicious vegan birthday cake that was so beautiful we didn't want to eat it (but we were certainly happy we caved in). The cake was moist and light, and the filling had just the right amound of sweetness. Overall, a perfect cake. | 2006-12-26 |
