Ultimate Guide Reviews
Garden Fresh I live close by and I've been eating here for 6-7 years; Until recently I would rate them a 4.5. They've recently changed the recipe or ingredients for several items and it's a real downgrade in the flavor and quality. Some items are unchanged, but I doubt I'll be back in the near term. 2 stars 2010-11-23
Enjoy Vegetarian Agree with previous reviews. The "chicken" was pretty good, better than other fake meats I've had. Sauce was a bit mild though. 4 stars 2009-06-05
Merit Vegetarian This is the vegan restaurant I eat at most in the southbay. Very similar to Golden Era. I'm not sure about the "atmosphere", but the food is always great and consistent. Try the pho. 4.5 stars 2009-04-19
Tofoo Com Chay basically vegan junkfood. I'm not sure everything is vegan either. If you have to eat here get the pho. I would give them another star if they served brown rice. 2 stars 2009-04-19
Sunny Bowl 1 of their 4 menu items is vegetarian: cucumber, radish, lettuce, tomato, tofu, and egg served over rice. Vegans can request no egg. Served with tea and kimchi. Ingredients were fresh. 4 stars 2009-04-19
Pizza Plaza The sauce could use more spices, otherwise the pizza is fantastic. If I lived in the East Bay I would eat here every day. 5 stars 2007-06-13
Vegi Garden Food is okay, almost 200 item menu. Good addition to the very few vegan options in the area. On par with Garden Fresh and GVL. 3.5 stars 2007-04-05
