The Butcher’s Son Pretty awesome and a rare concept! House made vegan "meats and cheeses" go on their incredible sandwiches and salads! In addition they have fried mozzarella, bacon macaroni salad, and usually an assortment of desserts, all vegan and in a funky atmosphere. Parking is difficult so be prepared, but totally worth going out of your way for! 4.5 stars 2018-03-08
Pepples Donut Farm This place is *fine*. The donuts are fine- though they seem to me to be nearly all the same donut just with different glaze. The food is fine. What is not fine is the massive wait involved because it is a popular place. I don't mind waiting for really good food, but fine is not fine unless there are no choices, and in Berkeley, we have many. 0 stars 2018-03-08
Nature Vegetarian Restaurant I adore this restaurant. The food is wonderful! This is a mock-meat based place and has the most tender mock meats I've ever had- not chewy-bouncy or spongy! They also have straight forward staff who will point you to the best if you let them. Oddly my favorite thing here is their seasonal vegetable dishes- pea shoots in spring! Sweet potato vines in summer! Ask what they have that day and enjoy! 4.5 stars 2018-03-08
