Comment: When I gave up dairy and eggs three years ago, family and friends repeatedly told me that I would never enjoy great desserts again ... I embarked on a new journey in an effort to re-invent vegan baking. My test sample became my non-vegan friends and family. I forced them to taste every new creation until one day they said, “this dessert is great!” Later came the most exciting comments, “this dessert tastes better than the original,” and “this can’t be vegan it is too moist and rich.”

Comment: More people adopting a veg*n diet means less animals being bred, raised, hurt and killed for food. More veg*n shopping means more companies will switch over and start developing veg products instead of new flavors of milk drinks. It's a direct connection. However, the number of veg*ns in the world won't increase if word doesn't get out! That's where you come in. By handing out Veg Starter Kits to people on the street, you will be responsible for less meat sold and eaten in this country. Last year PETA surveyed people who had been given a Veg Starter Kit--more than 90% of Veg Starter Kit recipients either reduced or eliminated their consumption of meat and dairy products!

People do care, and they will change their eating habits, but only if they get that first nudge.
