Notes: Youth Empowered Action Camp is a residential vegan summer camp for youth 11-16 who are interested in activism and social change. At camp, we focus on building skills, confidence, and community, while expanding young people's knowledge of social issues, including animal rights and food justice. Our campers choose an issue of importance to them and create a plan of action to make a difference in that area when they return home. We will have two 6-day sessions in the summer of 2010 in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, as well as a camp in Portland, OR.
