Very friendly and efficient staff. Great diner decor (Saturn planet theme) with booths as well as tables with eclectic decorations. Per their menu, they use organic for their house salads, rice, tofu, teas, fair trade cofee, and their 100% trans fat free oil is converted to biodiesel fuel. |

I like the whole 50s diner concept. Mostly vegetarian with a number of vegan choices. Had garlic fries and a chocolate (vegan) milkshake. The milkshakes were kind of pricey at $6 a piece, especially considering the kind of shake you could get a Maggie Mudds. | Reviews: 23 |

Interesting student oriented environment. Very friendly service; must have improved dramatically from earlier reviewers' visits a few years ago. My vegan shake (chocolate with peanut butter added) was great; the burger and fries were OK. I'll try something different with my shake next time. Mostly veg, but enough vegan choices. | Reviews: 133 |

Went with visiting omnivore family. They loved it, my vegan breakfast was ok. Way too much onion in the tofu scramble. Their garlic fries are awesome. Funky interior. Very close to downtown Santa Cruz. Love that they serve Tang. Wouldn't go again for brunch, but would go again for garlic fries and Tang :) | Reviews: 30 |

Tried the Vegan burgers with steak fries and tomato soup (spicy and goooood!) We went at 6:30 PM, there was a very short line. Staff was very friendly and took our order right away and food arrive fairly quickly as well. (Maybe its different when there are very long lines). Will definitely go back and try other items on menu! Music is too loud for me, but I knew that beforehand.. | Veena Reviews: 9 |

Update: I love getting the mushroom burger with steak fries and a chocolate milkshake made with about a pint of ice cream. The new decor is very nice and bathrooms are pleasant now. However, the service is full of "personality" and attitude that makes me not go there very often. Long waits to be seated or give order w/o an acknowledgement from staff that they know you're waiting. | PikkuMyy Reviews: 30 |
